Hi! I'm Mrs. Brunetti and I'm your LMC Director at Romeoville High School. I began working at Romeoville High School in 2004 as a History teacher. Then, in 2009, I took on the role as the Library Media Center Director. I am also the school Video Game Club sponsor and a building Technology Coach.

I truly love my job and working with students. I think RHS has the best students around! I regularly help students use our Library resources to find quality sources to use for research, create digital projects, teach digital literacy and citizenship, and of course... help them find a good book to read!

In my free time I enjoy spending time with my three sons and husband. We like to take road trips visiting National Parks and cool places to hike. We especially love spending our summers hanging out on the beaches of Lake Michigan. I love reading (especially realistic thrillers), chocolate ice cream, and Star Wars!

Mrs. Janet Rosendahl

Library Media Center Paraprofessional

rosendahjm@vvsd.org

Hello! I’m Mrs. Rosendahl and I have been your LMC Paraprofessional since 2006. In 2015, I received my Library Technical Assistant certification from Joliet Junior College. I am a Romeoville High School graduate and a lifelong member of the community.

One of the best things about my job is matching students with a book. Getting to know you helps me to find books that you’ll enjoy and will hopefully foster a love for reading. I also like creating book displays to create an atmosphere in your library that makes you feel at home.

When I’m not at RHS, I enjoy reading (of course!), cooking, baking, listening to music, eating ANYTHING chocolate and spending time with my husband, our six children and two grandchildren. During our breaks, we enjoy relaxing at our cabin in southern Illinois, boating on the Lake of Egypt and visiting my happy place...Walt Disney World!

RHS Library: What We Believe

The goal of the RHS Library Media Center program is to provide fair and easy access to library services and materials that help students with their current academic needs and also spark their interest in further learning. The program aims to provide students the necessary skills to be college and career ready while also fostering a love and interest in reading for leisure and provide them access to materials that support their social-emotional needs. The Library Media Center strives to provide materials that represent a wide variety of cultures, backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives to create an inclusive and diverse learning environment.

Policies & Procedures

Please let us know if you have any questions regarding our LMC policies and procedures.

Checkout Policies

We have three week checkouts. If you need your book longer, swing on by to the LMC so we can scan the barcode for you to have longer. Overdue book notices will be sent to your English class, email, and mailed home to a parent/guardian. Books not returned will be marked “lost” and the replacement cost will be added to the student’s school fees. Books returned damaged will also have the replacement cost added to the student fees.

Visiting the LMC

Students needing to use the LMC resources during a class need to have a SmartPass or Blue Paper pass issued by the teacher. Please do not request a pass from the LMC. Students must check-in at the circulation desk when they arrive.

Students do not need a pass to come to the LMC before school. During lunch, students also do not need a pass but they must check in at the circulation desk and select one of the tables in the designated lunch area. Students that choose to be in the LMC during lunch are expected to quietly work/study while they are here.
